The Information Technology Center of the Baku State University was created on the basis of Computer Center in 10th of January 2008. Currently there are 39 employees work in the center, 4 of which are candidates of physics-mathematics sciences. The Information Technology center consists of the below mentioned divisions: Computerization of study and educational works System programming and electronic management systems Internet and network technologies Technical support of the computers The information technology center, which combines 18 scientific-educational classes, and two specialized groups such as Accounting and Internet, are equipped with modern computer equipment and software. Each class of the faculty is provided with LAN and is connected to the internet via common university’s LAN. There is a LAN which connects all the dean departments and divisions of the University. We also work on LAN connection between laboratories and faculties. Finally all the faculties and ETL are connected to the LAN. Electronic Educational Center is functioning at Baku State University.
