There is a museum named after Heydar Aliyev at University. Here you can find historical documents and materials about our national leader, thoughtful, genius person and world-known graduate and honored doctor of the University Heydar Aliyev
These documents are significant sample for each student and have particular educational importance.

Museum “History of University”
The museum was established in 1980 to give broad information about historical background of the University and to develop morality and patriotism of students.
Documents, photo materials about public figures and scientists, who had a great contribution to the development of the University, are represented in the exposition of the Museum.

Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography
The museum was established in 1976. The main goal of museum is to propagate rich cultural and material monuments of Azerbaijan and to use them as educational material. Rich material and cultural samples about ancient history and ethnography of Azerbaijan were gathered at Museum.On the basis of this material and cultural samples, which were found during the excavation, there were established exhibitions consisting of separate (different) sections.

Bicycle Museum
One of two Cycle Sport Museums in the world was founded more than 30 years ago at Baku State University.
In the fond of museum there are exhibited rich filoteliya of thousand of materials, portraits,medals, badges, cups, souvenirs, of world known Olympic and World Champions on cycle sport. Museum, which is one of the great and impressive forms of propaganda, has a great role in educating patriotic and healthy youth.
Museum of Minerals of Azerbaijan
After establishment of geology-biography department, multi exposed museum of minerals was established with the help of M. Qashqay. In spite of being only about 500 exhibits at the beginning of museum life, today the number of materials is more than 6000 thousands.
The main goal of museum is to gather visual, scientific and mineral materials from deposits discovered up to now, to propagate scientific knowledge and to spread achievements of Azerbaijan geology.
The Museum of Minerals of Azerbaijan, which has an original subject structure, is closely associated with departments of geology faculty.
For deep mastering of geology specialties by students, the museum organized rich collections,theme exhibitions and expositions on mineralogy, crystallography, petrography, minerals and other subjects.
There is an auditorium named after academic M. Aliyev in the Museum, which was founded in 1997. The auditorium has rich library provided with scientist’s books.

Museum “Theory of Evolution”
One of the first graduates of biology faculty of Baku State University, doctor of biological science, professor, honored scientist and honored teacher M. A. Axundov for the first time in 1978 in our Republic established the department of genetics and lead it up to end of the life. Axundov’s role in dissemination knowledge on biological science is non-substitutive. He is the only founder of museum of evolutionary theory.
The main goal of museum initiated by M. A. Axundov is to demonstrate that the world evolution is a real process. The availability of evolution is proved by embryological and paleontology evidences, comparative anatomy and other materials.
