Famous scientist Y. Mammadaliyev was the first in the world who advanced an idea of production chemical rubber from oil gases and in 1933 published the first scientific work “Production of ethyl alcohol from oil gases”. This idea of production butadiene and butadiene chemistry rubber from ethyl alcohol was first realized on an industrial scale in Sumagayit, in 1953. On the basis of Y. Mammadaliyev idea on an industrial base was produced high-octane cumene and valuable component for provision of Ministry of Defense of former USSR with qualitative aero-fuel. For these achievements in 1944 he was awarded with Lenin and in 1946 Stalin Prize.
