According to official information from the international information agency Clarivate Analytics, the Hirsch index of Baku State University (BSU) compared to 2019 has increased by 1.7 times and reached 62. The average number of citations per work has increased to 7.81.

According to the information, employees, doctoral students, and students of BSU have already published 4298 scientific works in journals included in the Web of Science database. These works have been cited over 33,000 times. In 2023 alone, these works received 6807 citations, which is 3.8 times more than the number of citations made in 2018 and 3 times more than in 2019.
