BSU Department Head Tarikh Dostiyev Awarded State Prize

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree awarding the 2026 State Prizes in Science and Culture.
According to the decree, Tarikh Dostiyev, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Archaeology and Ethnography at the Faculty of History of Baku State University, has been awarded the State Prize in Science.
The prestigious award was granted in recognition of the fundamental scientific results achieved through archaeological excavations carried out in the medieval settlements of Ganja and Shamkir.
The award recognizes Associate Professor Tarikh Dostiyev’s significant contribution to archaeological research and the study of Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural heritage.
