A scientific paper entitled ‘Gut Microbiota and Colorectal Cancer Risk Factors’ by Professor Khudaverdi Ganbarov, Head of the Laboratory of Microbiology and Virology of Baku State University was published by Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

Colorectal cancer is a type of gut cancer originating either from the rectum or colon. Genetic and environmental factors, such as gut microbiome, play pivotal roles in colorectal cancer incidence rates.
