Participants of the  7th Global Baku Forum George Sharvashidze,  Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University,  Anastas Gerdjikov, Rector of Sofia University, Sorin Costreie, Vice-rector of the University of Bucharest  and Eden Mamut, the Secretary General of the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN) visited Baku State University.
Noting the importance of the meeting rector of Baku State University Elchin Babayev touched upon the issue of the further cooperation between the universities of the Black Sea region. The celebration events due to the 100th anniversary of BSU under the umbrella of BSUN, a double diploma program, international accreditation and other issues of mutual interests were also discussed during the meeting.
It should be noted that on March 17, 2019 rector Elchin Babayev took part in the special event called “Education, Science and Innovation for supporting the Implementation of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs in the Wider Black Sea Region”, which was organized by The Black Sea Universities Network in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
