Siddharth Saxena, Director of the Cambridge Central Asia Forum has visited Baku State University to meet its rector Elchin Babayev.

BSU rector outlined the work done in the field of science, education and innovation. He stressed the importance of cooperation between BSU and Cambridge University. Siddharth Saxena expressed interest in bilateral cooperation in research and innovation, especially between the Cavendish Laboratory and BSU.

After the meeting, Siddharth Saxena delivered lecture entitled "Understanding Development and Innovation from Scientific Perspective" for BSU faculty members and students.

The event was moderated by Rector Advisor for Strategic Development and Relations Ali Nagiyev. While commending the Center for Excellence in Research, Development and Innovation established at BSU, Ali Nagiyev highlighted the scientific research activity of BSU.

Siddharth Saxena presented activities carried out by Cambridge Central Asia Forum and Cavendish Laboratory. He stressed that the Laboratory has had a huge influence on research in the disciplines of high energy physics, astrophysics, biological and medical physics, polymer and nanoparticle physics, optics and molecular physics, matter structure, semiconductor physics and theoretical physics.
