The delegation led by Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU) has visited Izmir Institute of Technology.

During the meeting, issues of expanding academic and scientific ties between universities, prospects for cooperation in the field of education and research, joint double degree programs were discussed.

Izmir Institute of Technology (İYTE) was founded in 1992 in Izmir. İYTE maintains a strong emphasis on the natural sciences and engineering and is the only institute of its kind in Turkey with a special focus on scientific research. İzmir Institute of Technology is often cited among Turkey's top universities. The medium of instruction in all the departments of İYTE is English.
