The journal 'Times Higher Education' (THE) has published its list of university rankings by subjects for the year 2024.

Baku State University (BSU) secured a position of 1001+ in the fields of Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Astronomy, Mathematics, etc.) and Engineering Sciences (Chemical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Hydrogeological Engineering, Geophysical Engineering, etc.).

BSU is the only Azerbaijani university in both THE's overall ranking and the subject-specific rankings.
