BSU, Samarkand State University sign cooperation agreement

Rector of Baku State University Elchin Babayev and rector of Samarkand State University Rustam Khalmuradov have signed an agreement on cooperation during the meeting held online today.

The document provides for a number of joint initiatives in the field of education, including teaching staff exchange, organizing joint study programs, undergraduate and postgraduate students exchange for learning and research activities, and teaching and educational experience exchange.

Origins of Samarkand State University go back to 1420, when it was founded as a Ulugbek Madrasah. The university has 850 teaching staff. More than 13,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students follow the courses offered by Samarkand State University every year. Currently, the University comprises the 15 faculties, 19 centers and departments.
