Distinguished scientist Roald Sagdeev delivered speech at BSU
BSU Faculty members have met with academician Roald Zinnurovich Sagdeev, distinguished Professor of Physics at the University of Maryland, full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Board of Trustees of BSU.
The event was moderated by Mais Suleymanov, Director of the Center for Organization of Scientific Activity and Innovation. He spoke about the scientific activities of the academician and his contribution to physics, especially in the field of space physics.
BSU rector Elchin Babayev stressed that Roald Zinnurovich Sagdeev as a member of the Space Council made a great contribution to space research in Azerbaijan.
Roald Zinnurovich Sagdeev made presentation on "Progress in Metamaterials". He also spoke about scientific experiments conducted in the United States and about his teachers Lev Landau and Vitaly Ginzburg.
