Baku State University (BSU) hosted Virtual International Conference on “The coronavirus pandemic: biological and social psychological aspects”, organized by the faculties of biology and social sciences and psychology of BSU.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev informed about the preventive  measures taken in BSU for the fight against the coronavirus and Action Plan to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease in the Republic of Azerbaijan”. “BSU announced switching the educational process to the distance form during the nationwide quarantine” said Elchin Babayev.

Professors of BSU Hokum Guliyev and Fikret Efendiyev made presentation on COVID-19.

Masters of the Faculty of Biology made presentations entitled “Using of licorice root for the fight against coronaviruses” and “Mathematical model of the spreading of coronavirus in Azerbaijan”.

The conference was attended by Aziz Iftikhari, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Medical University of Maraghi (Islamic Republic of Iran) , scholars of John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and Bozok  University, Turkey.
