A research laboratory for cell culture and genome editing was established at BSU

A research laboratory for cell culture and genome editing has been established at the Center for Excellence in Research, Development and Innovation, Baku State University (BSU).
A new innovative laboratory is aimed at preserving new traits through modern technologies (by genome editing), preparing plant genomes with such traits as high productivity, tolerance to climate change by molecular methods, and resistance to stress factors.
The laboratory was established with support of Ministry of Agriculture, USAID, FAO, Israeli Center for Agricultural Research "Volcani Center" and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
