The winners of the national finals of the innovation competition "Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016", organized by Microsoft Azerbaijan and Nar companies with the support of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Communications and High Technologies and High Technologies Park have been identified. Within the competition, teams consisting of students of higher education institutions and vocational training institutions presented their projects in 3 nominations: "Innovations", "Social projects" and "Games". 

A team called "TechSOS" of SABAH Groups including Aytaj Agabeyli, Gunay Abdullayeva, Naila Ismailova and Sanan Guluzade won in the nomination "Social Projects". The students developed a fall detection system, which consists of 3 parts - an application for smartphones, cloud application and software. The product will help to speed up the process of rendering first aid to the victim.

The winners have got a chance to participate in the international online semi-final. And if they achieve good results, the teams will represent Azerbaijan in the final, which will take place in July this year. Note that Microsoft Imagine Cup is the world’s premier student technology competition that provides opportunities for students across all disciplines to team up and create applications, games and integrated solutions that can change the way we live, work and play.
