Abay Center was opened at Baku State University

Abay Center was opened at Baku State University. Abay Kunanbaev - Kazakh poet, writer, social activist and founder of modern Kazakh written literature. Center of Abay Kunanbaev was created for the further development of the cultural relations between the Azeri and Kazakh peoples. The official opening was made by the rector of BSU, academician Abel Maharramov and the rector of Eurasian National University, Professor Bahytdzhan Abdraim. Then the ceremony was continued at the School of Heydar Aliyev. Academician Abel Maharramov greeted the participants and guests and noted that the Centre of  Abay would be very important for the cultural interaction  of the Azeri and Kazakh peoples. The rector said that the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and Kazakh leader Nursultan Nazarbayev made tremendous efforts to strengthen the relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and President Ilham Aliyev successfully continued this policy.

The event was participated by  Darkhan Minbay, the head of the department of internal policy of the Administration of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov, Rector of the Eurasian National University.
