Academic Council Meeting Held
On February 14, 2022 a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at Baku State University (BSU). The meeting was moderated by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev.
Vice-rector for the organization of the educational process and teaching technologies Farda Imanov made report on the results of the examination session of the fall semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. 24462 students participated in the examinations. The overall quality rating is 38 per cent, success rate is 74 per cent. A Examination Center and an Appeal Commission were established for dealing with complaints as well as special hotline. Complaints could be lodged via e-mail and WhatsApp.
Then, Head of the Gazakh Branch of BSU Arif Rustamov, Head of the Economics and Humanities College of BSU Sakhar Orudzheva, Chairman of the Appeal Commission Elshad Gurbanov made reports concerning examination session.
By decision of the Academic Council during the Spring Semester, Academic Year of 2021-2022, BSU would continue to operate in a hybrid learning format: 2 days a week online, 3 days face-to-face.
Pursuant to the Council's decision BSU students who took part in the Patriotic War would be freed from paying tuition fees. Rector Elchin Babayev said that BSU provided pedagogical and methodological support for the students-participants of the Patriotic War.
The Academic Council announced "Scientist of the Year” competition dedicated to the "Day of Science", celebrated on March 27.
The Academic Council approved the publishing plan for 2022. At the end of the meeting, 16 volunteers who actively participated in the public life of the university were awarded letters of thanks.
