Academician Rasim Alguliyev Holds Master Class for BSU Students
With the support of the SABAH Groups of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education and Baku State University (BSU), Academician Rasim Alguliyev — Vice President of ANAS and Director General of the Institute of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Science and Education — delivered a master class on “New Digital Technological Challenges: Problems, Opportunities, and Prospects.”
During the event, it was noted that modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and automation are transforming the economic, social, and cultural landscape of the world. While these advancements drive innovation and efficiency, they also raise new ethical, legal, and social challenges, including issues of cybersecurity, digital inequality, and global governance.
In his address, Academician Alguliyev stressed that the rapid development of technology highlights the need to ensure digital sovereignty and adopt a human-centered approach. He underlined the importance of improving digital skills and training specialists in network and cloud technologies, the Internet of Things, software engineering, and digital medicine.
The session concluded in an interactive format, as students engaged in discussions with the academician and received detailed answers to their questions.
