Academician Vagif Ferzeliyev Holds Master Class at BSU
Academician Vagif Ferzeliyev delivered a master class at the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU) on the topic “Development of Specialized Lubricants,” dedicated to March 27 – Science Day.
Faculty Dean Fuad Kerimli spoke about the importance of Science Day for the country and emphasized the significant role of prominent scientists in developing the nation’s scientific potential and inspiring the younger generation.
In his presentation, Academician Ferzeliyev discussed petroleum-based oils and the growing demand for them. He also informed participants about the research conducted at the Institute of Additive Chemistry, which he heads, on the development of specialized lubricants for T-55, T-72, and T-90 tanks used to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. The guest also spoke about the institute’s scientific achievements and the awards it has received.
The presentation addressed the key components of special-purpose oils, the challenges involved in their production, and the application of waste-free technologies. The academician highlighted the importance of M-16İXP-3 and M-16İXP-U oils for the national defense industry and noted that his research in this field was recognized with a State Prize.
