The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to Azerbaijan, Besart Kadia, paid an official visit to Baku State University (BSU), where he met with the university’s leadership.

During the meeting, the ambassador was briefed on BSU’s academic and research activities, international rankings, and ongoing internationalization strategy. Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with Albanian universities, noting strong potential for joint projects in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering.

Ambassador Kadia highlighted Albania’s interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in education and science. The sides discussed opportunities for student and staff exchanges, dual degree programs, joint research, and participation in international academic initiatives. They agreed to establish working relations to define specific areas of cooperation in the near future.
