Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU) met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, Kairat Osmanaliev.

BSU Rector briefed the ambassador about the activities of BSU. He highlighted that BSU's international relations have expanded in recent years, with the number of double degree programs reaching 11, and cooperation agreements being signed with prestigious universities in different countries. Turkic-speaking countries hold a special place in this integration. Elchin Babayev expressed BSU's interest in collaborating with universities in Kyrgyzstan.

Ambassador Kairat Osmanaliev emphasized that Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are brotherly countries with a shared history, culture, and traditions. The guest underscored the importance of establishing links between the flagship universities of both countries, BSU and Kyrgyz National University.

During the meeting, the cooperation between BSU and universities in Kyrgyzstan was discussed, along with other related issues.
