Arden University Lecturer delivers lecture at BSU

With the support of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, clinical psychologist Nilufar Akif Demirzade, a lecturer from Arden University in England, delivered a lecture titled "Anxiety and Anxiety Disorders: A Biopsychosocial Analysis" for SABAH group students of Baku State University (BSU).

Nilufar Akif Demirzade provided information on the reasons why anxiety and excitement form as a sign of the transition from a normal state to an abnormal state in a person, serving as a negative indicator of personality. Explaining the influence and role of biological, sociological, and psychological factors in creating excitement and anxiety, the specialist spoke about the importance of joint work by a therapist, clinical psychologist, and social worker in analyzing problematic situations. Nilufar Akif emphasized the importance of adaptation and plasticity, which are the basis of coping strategies and behavior models in stressful situations. She spoke about the 3D therapy method, which helps analyze problems - the method of thinking, feeling, and behavior, and explained how it works. The expert noted that parents play a special role in preventing negative situations caused by anxiety and excitement in behavior.
