Armenian Language Training Held at Baku State University
The BSU Volunteers organization, in collaboration with members of the Student Trade Union Committee of Baku State University’s Philological Faculty, organized a training session in the Armenian language.
Ismail Tanriverdi, Director of the Center for Armenian Studies and Training at BSU, emphasized the importance of learning Armenian, noting that it enables scholars to access Armenian history and literature in the original language, study primary sources, and scientifically counter unfounded Armenian claims against Azerbaijan. Additionally, proficiency in Armenian offers strategic advantages in the information war and helps in analyzing potential threats.
During the session, Tanriverdi introduced students to the historical development and morphological structure of the Armenian language.
The event concluded with a discussion, during which students’ questions were addressed.
