Azerbaijan International Mining Company Opens Classroom at BSU
Baku State University (BSU) continues to expand cooperation in education, science, and industry. As part of this effort, a specialized classroom has been opened at the BSU Faculty of Geology with the support of Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited (AIMC).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the importance of developing modern academic infrastructure and integrating specialized classrooms into the educational process. He noted that close collaboration with industry partners is a key priority of the university’s strategic development plan. According to the Rector, training specialists in strategically important fields such as mining should combine strong theoretical foundations with practical, industry-oriented learning environments.
AIMC President Reza Vaziri stated that education occupies a central place in the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy. He noted that sustainable development in geology and mining depends on the training of highly qualified specialists and highlighted the importance of fostering young people’s interest in the sector and familiarizing them with modern technologies.
During the event, participants toured the newly opened classroom and were introduced to its technical capabilities, modern teaching and presentation tools, and facilities designed to support specialized instruction.
