Azerbaijani language version of Blackboard platform will be launched at the suggestion of BSU
Blackboard representatives has visited Baku State University. Blackboard is a leading EdTech company serving higher education, K-12, business and government clients around the world.
The meeting was attended by Blackboard Regional Vice President Juan Alegret, Regional Project Manager Abu-Khiran, Senior Solution Engineer Mustafa Güçlü, BSU Rector Elchin Babaev, ADA University Vice-Rector Vafa Kazdal, BSU Advisor to the Rector for Strategic Development and Communications Ali Nagiyev, ADA Director for Faculty Affairs and Academic Management Samira Rasulova, Blackboard Project Manager at BSU Shabnam Safarova.
Rector Elchin Babayev thanked the leadership of the ADA University, which initiated and supported the Blackboard project at BSU. Rector stressed BSU has been cooperating with the Blackboard platform since March 2021. BSU has registered 12,570 courses and 27,275 users on the platform. About 23,000 of them are students, the rest are faculty members and administrative staff.
Regional Vice President Juan Alegret said Blackboard is interested in long-term cooperation with BSU.
Regional Project Manager Abu-Khiran emphasized that updates to the audio-video features of the Blackboard system in the second quarter of this year will increase the platform's bandwidth and significantly reduce factors affecting the speed and quality of internet connection.
The sides noted the Azerbaijani language version of the system will be launched in April-May this year at the suggestion of BSU.
