Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Israel Meets with BSU Students
The latest guest of the Diplomacy Hour project, organized jointly by Baku State University (BSU), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BSU Volunteers, and Diplomacy Volunteers, was Mukhtar Mammadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Israel.
Vice-Rector of Baku State University (BSU) for Social Affairs, Student Affairs and Public Relations Alish Agamirzayev highlighted the importance of the project in introducing students to the diplomatic profession and emphasized Mukhtar Mammadov’s extensive experience in foreign policy, science, and education.
Addressing the students, Mukhtar Mammadov spoke about the nature of diplomatic service, stressing that a diplomat must possess extensive knowledge, be proficient in foreign languages, stay informed about international developments, be able to work effectively with the media, make prompt decisions, and think strategically. He also noted that Azerbaijan’s foreign policy is based on the country's national interests and follows a multidirectional approach.
At the end of the meeting, the ambassador answered numerous questions from the students.
