Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov has met with students of Baku State University (BSU).

Vice-Rector for Social Affairs, Student Affairs and Public Relations Alish Agamirzayev said that about 25,000 students study at BSU. The university has such youth organizations as the Student Trade Union, BSU Volunteers organization, the Student Youth Organization, the Student Scientific Society, the Student Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity, and the Student Control Group. BSU students actively participate in the social and political life of the university and the country.

Minister Farid Gaibov noted that the main purpose of the meeting is to listen to the wishes, suggestions and difficulties of students. The Minister said that 25 percent of the population of Azerbaijan are young people, most of them are students, more than 300 youth organizations operate in the country.

The meeting was attended by about 700 students from different faculties of BSU.
