AzerGold Advisor Presents at BSU
Shahbaddin Musayev, PhD in Geology and Mineralogy and Advisor to AzerGold CJSC, delivered a presentation to the faculty of the Geology Department at Baku State University (BSU).
In his presentation, Musayev discussed the assessment of the ore potential in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions and provided an overview of the company’s ongoing exploration activities.
It was noted that AzerGold’s exploration program covers 15,409 km² across the Lesser Caucasus and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Special emphasis is placed on airborne electromagnetic surveys, which allow for the rapid identification of promising areas, reduce drilling costs, and minimize environmental impact.
Musayev also reported on the revaluation of reserves at existing deposits and presented data from major exploration work at the Zod field. Participants were briefed on the company’s key performance indicators over the past nine years, including production volumes, exports, tax contributions, and social projects.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
