A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation has been signed between the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos), Baku State University (BSU), and the Institute of Air, Space and Cyber Law of the University of Cologne, Germany.

The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sameddin Asadov, the Rector of BSU, Elchin Babaev, and the Director of the Institute of Air and Space Law and Cyber Law at the University of Cologne, Stefan Hobe.

The document aims to establish and develop relations between the parties for the application of international experience in the field of space law and policy in the Republic of Azerbaijan. It defines the framework for cooperation in joint implementation, improvement of scientific research activities, and other areas of mutual interest.

The Memorandum envisions the development of integration between the parties, the exchange of information in the field of space law, air law, cyber law, and other related areas, the conduct of consultations, and the provision of expert support. It also includes the invitation of faculty and staff from both sides to participate in events related to space law, air law, and cyber law, as well as the exchange of academic and administrative personnel, students, master's, and doctoral students.
