Baku State University and Ankara University held a conference titled 'One Nation, Two States’
Baku State University (BSU) and Ankara University jointly organized an international conference titled 'One Nation, Two States,' dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey in Ankara.
Necdet Unuvar, the Rector of Ankara University delivered the opening speech at the conference. He stated that the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey and the declaration of the 'Year of Heydar Aliyev' in Azerbaijan are historical events. "At present, friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries are successfully developing in all directions, including in the fields of science and education", said Necdet Unuvar.
Speaking at the conference, BSU rector Elchin Babayev, stated that stated that the life goal of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was the independence of Azerbaijan and the happiness of his native people. The great leader dedicated his entire life to achieving this goal.
The conference continued its proceedings with a panel session titled ‘Heydar Aliyev in the History of the Turkic World’.
