Rector of Baku State University (BSU), academician Abel Maharramov met with delegation of the Shanghai University headed by Xia Xiaohu. Rector Abel Maharramov informed the visitors about the history of the Baku State University and highlighted activity of Confucius Institute  and teaching the Chinese language and literature at the university. The sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The deal will see the two universities carry out student and teacher exchange, conduct joint research work, organize joint conferences and symposiums. During the meeting PhD student of BSU Li Jen Yinu was awarded a diploma of Shanghai University. He was appointed as the person responsible for  the cooperation between Shanghai University, BSU and other Azerbaijani universities.
