Rector of Baku State University, academician Abel Maharramov and rector of Turkey`s Ankara University, Professor Erkan Ibish have singed a memorandum of understanding and agreement on joint cooperation under the “Mevlana exchange programme”.
The agreement envisages implementation of joint projects, preparation of specialists and exchange of teachers and students. 
Speaking prior to the signing ceremony, Maharramov praised the educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
He noted  the signed documents would contribute to developing the relations between the universities.
Maharramov said law students from the two universities had recently been granted dual diplomas.
Ibish praised the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations.
He expressed confidence the documents would help build stronger relationship between the two higher educational institutions.
