Baku State University becomes first NASA observation post among Azerbaijani universities

Baku State University (BSU) has become the first official observation point of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) among the Azerbaijani higher educational institutions. The recognition came after the observation materials of the Jupiter and Saturn planets obtained by the university were shared with NASA. The observation process was organised at the Baku State University on September 26.

Currently, NASA has 4,125 observation points around the world, five of which are located in Azerbaijan. More information about observation points can be obtained from the map at the following link: https://moon.nasa.gov/observe-the-moon-night/

From now on, NASA observation activity in the country will be organised by BSU’s Student Scientific and Technical Creativity Centre. Such events include the International Observe the Moon Night, solar eclipse and others.
