A delegation  of North Sumatra State Islamic University (Indonesia), led by Professor Saidurrahman has visited Baku State University. Rector, academician Abel Maharramov informed the guests about the history and education system of the University and expressed interest in the development of the inter-university relations.

As part of meeting a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between BSU and North Sumatra State Islamic University.

The documents foresee holding mutual lectures, scientific researches, organization of seminars and conferences, exchange of students, scholars. The agreements also intends exchange experience and information.
