An international scientific conference "Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh and actual problems of Azerbaijani Philology" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the national poet, literary critic and public figure Bakhtiar Vahabzadeh was held at Baku State University. Hailing Bakhtiar Vahabzadeh’s contribution to the history of Azerbaijani literature BSU rector, academician Abel Maharramov noted that the national poet worked at BSU as a professor of “Contemporary Azerbaijani Literature” during the 50 years. He said that named scholarship was established by Baku State University in honor of Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh, as well as a room named after Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh was opened at Philology Department.
