Baku State University, Japanese Kanagawa University sign Memorandum of Understanding

Baku State University (BSU) and Kanagawa University of Japan have inked a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Rector of the Kanagawa University Makoto Oguma.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of students, researchers and academic staff, exchange of scientific articles and information, joint research and academic meetings, as well as expansion of bilateral relations in the future.

Established as the Yokohama Academy in 1928, it then became Yokohama College and was set up as Kanagawa University in 1949. The main campus is located in the Japanese city of Yokohama. Kanagawa University ranks 601-650 in Asian University Rankings 2023, and 1501+ in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. Kanagawa University has grown into one of Japan's leading institutions of higher education, with a total of 20,000 students.
