BSU rector, academician Abel Maharramov met with the Director of the National Nuclear Research Center under the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, academician Adil Garibov and the scientific director of the Extreme Matter Institute EMMI, Prof. Peter Braun-Munzinger.

Academician Abel Maharramov informed the guests about the development of education and science in BSU, including the nuclear physics and nuclear technologies. The Rector stressed the importance of cooperation with German universities in the field of nuclear physics.

A protocol of intent was signed between Baku State University and the National Nuclear Research Center. The protocol provides for the establishment of a branch of  BSU "Structure of matter" department in the National Nuclear Research Center.
