Azerbaijani higher education institutions are once again represented at the QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference 2025, a global platform for educational innovation. Baku State University (BSU) is participating in the conference with its innovative NeuroScreen project, which was selected from more than 2,000 submissions and ranked in the top 20 percent.

The main objective of the NeuroScreen project is to enable the control of smart home technologies based on the Internet of Things (IoT), the remote operation of digital devices, robotic prosthetics, and organ systems, as well as real-time patient health monitoring and AI-supported diagnostic decision-making. These goals are achieved through the integration of medicine, artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, and robotics, using the analysis and filtering of brain signals from paralyzed patients.

The project was highly praised at the conference as a cutting-edge and interdisciplinary solution that brings together advanced technologies in medicine and engineering.

NeuroScreen was presented at the conference by Asiman Ilyasov, Advisor to the Rector of BSU, who emphasized the project’s social importance, its innovative technological approach, and its potential contribution to improving rehabilitation processes.
