Baku State University has hosted a solemn event dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day.

First, the event participants honored with a minute of silence the memory of the Shehids who gave their lives for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands, and the state anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Opening the event, Rector of Baku State University Elchin Babayev stressed that the establishment of November 8 as Victory Day in Azerbaijan by the order of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev is a new stage in the life of the country. Rector spoke about the active participation of BSU staff and students in the war, both at the front and in the rear. “19 BSU graduates became martyrs during the liberation of the occupied Azerbaijani territories” said Elchin Babayev.

The event continued with an artistic program prepared by the Center for Cultural Creativity of Baku State University.
