The Baku State University (BSU) and the University of Tehran have today inked a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

The MoU was signed by BSU rector Abel Maharramov and rector of the University of Tehran Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi.

The deal will see the two universities carry out student and teacher exchange, conduct joint research work, organize joint conferences and symposiums.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Abel Maharramov met a delegation led by Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi.

Maharramov highlighted the history, scientific achievements and international relations of the Baku State University.

He expressed confidence that relations between the higher educational institutions would continue to expand.

The rector of the University of Tehran expressed hope that cooperation between the two universities would contribute to developing bonds between Azerbaijan and Iran.

Maharramov also handed a diploma of the Honorary Guest of BSU to Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi.
