The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Baku State University (BSU) and The University of Trento, Italy on November 2, 2021.

The MoU features exchange of researchers, post-graduates and masters, scientific researches over joint projects, exchange of experience aimed at increase of professional skills of scientists and teachers, organization of joint seminars and conferences, as well as participation at the projects and programs of mutual interest.
The agreement was signed by the rector of BSU Elchin Babaev and the rector of the University of Trento Flavio Deflorian.

The University of Trento was founded in 1962 as a Higher University Institute for Social Sciences. It then became the first Faculty of Sociology in Italy. The university is ranked #440 by QS World University Rankings.
