Bar-Ilan University delegation visits Baku State University

A delegation from Bar-Ilan University, led by Vice President Zeev Zalevsky, visited Baku State University (BSU).

During the meeting, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted the important role of Israeli higher education institutions in the university’s international cooperation. He noted that BSU is currently implementing dual degree programs with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Plant Biotechnology and with the Holon Institute of Technology in Computer Science.

The rector also emphasized the potential for developing cooperation with Bar-Ilan University in such areas as computer science, high technology, nanophysics, biomedicine, and other fields.

Zeev Zalevsky provided information about Bar-Ilan University and its academic and research activities. He noted that, as part of its international cooperation, the university offers advanced academic programs and flexible research opportunities for doctoral students in areas including materials science, semiconductor technology, machine learning, as well as the social sciences and humanities. He expressed interest in establishing cooperation with BSU.

The meeting also focused on prospects for academic and scientific collaboration between the two universities, particularly the implementation of joint research projects and opportunities for doctoral students.
