British Ambassador Visits Baku State University
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Fergus Auld has visited Baku State University (BSU). The meeting was also attended by the Director of the British Council in Azerbaijan, Nargiz Gadzhieva, and the Director of the Education Structure for Black Sea Region and the whole of Europe, Christopher Holmes.
Rector Elchin Babaev emphasized that the development of international relations is one of the 5 key elements of BSU's development strategy. In connection with this, BSU is interested in developing connections with universities in the United Kingdom. Elchin Babaev shared information about projects in the field of science and education in the country, international relations of BSU, dual-degree programs, teaching, and scientific research conducted at the university. The Rector expressed interest in establishing connections with universities in the United Kingdom and signing dual or triple-degree programs.
Ambassador Fergus Auld stated that universities in the United Kingdom are interested in collaborating with higher education institutions in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the field of science and education, possibilities for exchange in scientific research between BSU and universities in the United Kingdom, and the British Council were discussed.
