Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Carole Mary Crofts and Director of the British Council for Azerbaijan Elizabeth White have visited Baku State University (BSU) to meet with rector, academician Abel Maharramov.

Briefing about the higher school, rector Abel Maharramov touched upon the mutual relations between the two countries and underlined the achievements of the University in the field of education and research.  Ambassador Carol Crofts, in turn, expressed interest in expanding this cooperation in the future. Director of the British Council for Azerbaijan Elizabeth White noted the effective cooperation with BSU in recent years.

It should be noted that BSU and the British Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the project of the “Internationalization of Higher Education”.
