BSU Academic Council Opens New Academic Year with Key Decisions
The first meeting of Baku State University (BSU) Academic Council for the new academic year has been held.
The Council discussed the organization of the 2025/2026 fall semester, admission results for BSU bachelor’s and master’s programs, and outcomes of enrollment for repeated higher education under additional education programs.
BSU enters the new academic year with several innovations. Students admitted to bachelor’s programs with scores above 550 points will receive a monthly scholarship of 200 manats until the end of the academic year.
This year, BSU is also launching a Department of Artificial Intelligence Ethics. Updated state educational programs for master’s degrees will be implemented from this semester. In total, 5,302 students registered for undergraduate studies and 1,166 were admitted to master’s programs. Of those admitted, 72% of bachelor’s and 73% of master’s students will study under the state order.
