An online meeting was held between representatives of Baku State University (BSU) and Anhui University, China.

The meeting was attended by Rauf Hasanov, Head of the International Relations Department at BSU, Wang Haoqiang, Director of the Confucius Institute at BSU, Bakhtiyar Pashayev, Dean of the Physics Department at BSU, Vusal Mamedov, Deputy Dean of the Physics Department at BSU, Lala Gahramanli, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Physics of Nanomaterials at BSU, Yu Yanhao, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at Anhui University, Deng Min, Secretary of International Relations of the Faculty at Anhui University.

The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between the two universities. Participants exchanged detailed views on the specialization areas for the dual degree program, curriculum adaptation, and mechanisms for student exchange between BSU’s Physics Department and Anhui University’s Materials Science and Engineering Faculty.

As a result, a preliminary agreement was reached to establish a master's level dual degree program in the following fields:

•    Semiconductor Devices and Microelectronics
•    Optoelectronics
•    Quantum Electronics

This initiative signifies a major step forward in academic collaboration and the development of advanced educational programs.
