Baku State University (BSU) and Azera Holding have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish cooperation.

The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Azera Holding Director Akif Aliyev.

Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized the university’s commitment to expanding collaboration with leading representatives of the country’s private sector. He expressed confidence that the partnership would contribute significantly to the effective organization of the educational process, the advancement of research activities, and the employment prospects of students and graduates.

He noted that the initial phase of cooperation with Azera Holding will focus primarily on staff training and providing internship opportunities for students. At the same time, the Rector highlighted the university’s strong potential for implementing joint research projects and organizing scientific, educational, and social events in the future.

Akif Aliyev, Director of Azera Holding, provided information about the company’s activities, including student-oriented initiatives carried out under its corporate social responsibility programs. He particularly mentioned the Nazlı Ana Scholarship Program, established last year by the Nazlı Ana Foundation. Aliyev expressed confidence that the signed memorandum would be mutually beneficial, encouraging students to gain practical experience and expanding their career opportunities.

The memorandum outlines cooperation in areas such as joint research projects, student internships within the holding, mentoring for students and young researchers, the organization of seminars and training programs, and support for startups and innovative initiatives.
