A memorandum of understanding was signed between Baku State University (BSU) and Bolashak University of Kazakhstan.

The document was signed by rectors Elchin Babayev and Umirbek Umbetov.

The memorandum provides for joint projects, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposiums, short-term courses, trainings, and joint scientific research. The memorandum also includes such issues as joint publications in scientific journals, development of joint academic programs, curricula and programs, trainings, and exchange of academic and administrative staff, students, master's students, doctoral students, and researchers.

Bolashak University, founded in 1995, is one of the prestigious universities in Kazakhstan.
