A meeting was held between Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), and Obidjon Hamidov, Rector of Bukhara State University, to discuss expanding cooperation between the two institutions.

Key topics included the implementation of new joint projects, the enhancement of experience-sharing in scientific research, and the deepening of academic collaboration.

During the meeting, Rector Elchin Babayev provided a comprehensive overview of BSU’s history, international partnerships, and priority focus areas. He highlighted BSU’s leading role in Azerbaijani science and education and underscored the significance of fostering international ties. Babayev expressed confidence that collaboration with Bukhara State University would further enrich the academic and scientific activities of both universities.

In response, Rector Obidjon Hamidov shared insights into his university's activities, participation in international initiatives, and notable scientific achievements. He described the partnership with BSU as a strategically important step and proposed several initiatives to strengthen these ties.

The discussions also covered plans for student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, collaborative educational programs, and international conferences. Both parties agreed to draft and sign agreements to formalize their cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
