BSU and Codelandia LLC Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Baku State University (BSU) and Codelandia Limited Liability Company (LLC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in the fields of computer science, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
The agreement was formalized by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Codelandia LLC Director Gunel Jennetova during an official signing ceremony.
In his remarks, Rector Elchin Babayev emphasized that computer science and mathematics are among BSU's top five academic priorities. He highlighted the university’s strong foundation in mathematical sciences and its notable achievements in applied mathematics and cybernetics. Acknowledging the growing importance of computer science and innovation, Babayev expressed confidence that the partnership with Codelandia LLC would yield fruitful outcomes. He noted that BSU, in collaboration with Codelandia, could organize master classes, simulations, olympiads, and conferences on information technology, as well as provide training programs in cybersecurity.
Gunel Jennetova, Director of Codelandia LLC, underscored the organization's pivotal role in the country’s innovative education sector. She stated that Codelandia has established a high-level training and internship program through collaborations with leading technology companies both domestically and internationally. She further noted that joint initiatives with BSU in programming, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence would contribute significantly to the development of specialists in these fields.
As outlined in the MoU, BSU and Codelandia LLC will undertake joint research and projects in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, information technology, data analytics, and other emerging fields. The agreement also includes provisions for updating and enhancing curricula, introducing new educational methodologies, and developing specialized training programs. Additionally, the partnership aims to organize joint technology conferences, professional training courses, and establish research laboratories and innovation centers.
